Yup, that's all folks! I told you, I didn't take lots of pictures. I blame the heat...and all of the cool vendors that distracted me from taking pictures!

Renegade Crafts.
On Saturday, I made my way to my first ever Renegade Craft Fair. I'm not sure why but every time the Brooklyn Renegade comes to town, I'm usually away. Not this time! It was a gorgeous sunny day and the fair was outside which was great, maybe not so great for the vendors as it was right by the water which means high winds. I didn't take a lot of pictures but here's some I did manage to take.

Green Smoothie
I've really gotten into smoothies these past few days, mainly because of the high temperatures but want to share with you one of my newest ventures, the green smoothie. Trust me, this one is so refreshing and not too sweet. It'll be perfect to sip on this weekend while you're enjoying the outdoors and trying to keep cool.
1/2 avocado
1 small cucumber
1 cup orange juice
1/2 can of coconut milk ( I used light)
1-2 tbsp agave (depending on how sweet you want it)
2 tbsp hemp protein (optional)
3-4 ice cubes
What you do:
Blend everything in the blender & enjoy!

Jump Suit
I've been a fan of jumpsuits for quite some time now and am always excited when they become a little more acceptable every year. They're not quite there yet, I guess it's kind of a slow slope to climb when they can be hit or miss.
I bought this one a few years ago and realize that I just don't wear it often enough. Funny though, the previous years I've worn it belted and now I just want it all to be loose fitting. I like how I can update it as the trends are changing.

Creepy Crawly Crayons
I'm pretty excited to share with you guys a super easy and simple DIY for little ones. When I saw the toddler I babysit break almost all of her crayons, 'cause she's strong like that, instead of throwing them out, I kept all the bits and pieces and brought them home to test this out.
Over the weekend, I found the perfect mold to make some super fun, extra big crayons that even a mighty two year old won't be able to break...maybe. I got these centipede ice cube trays at a kitchen supply store, I believe they're from Fred Flare.
I got out all of the little pieces and had to add some new crayons too so I started to tear away at the paper wrapper and break them into little pieces. I kept the colors in the same family that way they just look like big crayons.
And this is how they turned out! I can't wait to bring them over and test them out. I still need to make a few more colors though first.

I put them in the oven at 350 degrees and waited and watched until they were melted (approx.20 minutes). During this time, I added a little more bit of crayons to make sure that they were going to be full centipedes and then, I'd put them back for about 10 minutes more.

In the Slope
This past weekend... and up until tomorrow actually, Soner and I have been in Park Slope, dogsitting for some friends. Even though it's just a quick subway ride from our place, we decided to hunker down and stay in the neighborhood for a change of scenery. Of course, I packed way too light and even forgot to bring hair products, and warm clothing for night walks, so I haven't been taking all that many pictures.
Here are some from yesterday afternoon when we were walking around the neighborhood, checking out the stoop sales. Honestly, I love Park Slope for that reason. So many family stoop sales selling their stuff for cheap. I almost need another bag for all the stuff I've accumulated over the weekend!

teeze w/ eez & giveaway! {closed}
Today I want to introduce to you a brand new styling tool that I've recently come across. It's a teasing comb from the company, Teeze w/ eez. They recently contacted me about this comb and I was pretty eager to try it, since if you've seen some of my hair tutorials, they pretty much all involve teasing.
When I got the comb, it looked a lot more heavy duty with its stainless steel handle & ergonomic design, so I was immediately impressed. I wanted to try it with just a simple half up do, and without the help of any other products (I usually use some dry shampoo and hairspray). I made this little video for you guys, i'm sorry it's a little long, I didn't have much time for editing. Hope you like it!
I quite like the comb itself and it's pretty easy to use. I think the whole idea is that you don't need to do multiple teasing but I guess my habits are hard to break. The only thing I would say is that I tend to use the pick end to grabs actions of hair but this one is a little too thick for getting smaller sections. Other than that, I was impressed with the amount of body I got without having to use any products (and only 2 bobby pins!)
Now is your chance to win a teeze w/ eez comb of your own ( a $20 value!). They have graciously gifted me two combs (one purple, one grey as seen below) to give to 2 lucky readers! To enter, please leave a comment here with an email for me to contact you. For extra entries, you can tweet, Facebook, or post about this giveaway, just come back and tell me you did with the link for each! Giveaway is open to international readers and will end on Sunday, June 10th, 2012. Good luck!
